Electric Razor Reviews

Just got this for my friend, who has severe cereblal palsy, and the razor works great- But, when we place the razor, head down, into the cleaning system and push down the lever, nothing happens. If we unplug it and plug it back in, it makes a humming noise and dips the razor down a fraction of an inch, then immediately bobs right back up, not even touching the cleaning solution. We filled it with the entire bottle of solution, per the manual. Pressing the “on/off” button does nothing, and neither the “charge” nor the “cleaning” display lights up. I have read the instructions over and over, but maybe I’m misinterpreting something. I called Norelco, they said to send it back to the factory so they can investigate and return it to him in six short weeks . Hoping one of you fine gentlemen out their owns one of these and can tell us what I’m doing wrong? Thanks.
